Fitting a snorkel with dual batteries in a V8

    Hi all,

    I have fitted a Safari snorkel to my MY95 V8 Disco1.
This is the shorter along the guard non ABS snorkel.

I haven't finished yet as I'm wondering where people fit there power steering fluid reservoir when they also have dual batteries to contend with?

I also have an LPG system to contend with.
I'm thinking of fitting a smaller washer bottle to make room for the LPG unit.

    Thanks.

ARB do a P/S mounting bracket that moves the bottle out of the way.

I don't suppose you have a photo of that bracket or know what it attached to?

I'll put photos up once it is all sorted. I've got two weeks till the next trip so have until then to get it going.

Thanks Streaky. Mine is the non ABS snorkel so has the Safari air piping in that location but it gives me some more ideas to try.

Is the bracket that you have in that photo the original LR one? I have noticed that my radiator bracket has been shortened to the same length as the one on the other side by the previous owner.

My second battery is a D70 so takes up every last mm between the inner guard and the radiator bracket.

Here are a couple of pictures of a bracket I made to move the power steering res. This was before I had gas fitted. When I had gas fitted there was very limited room to put the converter and mixer so the gas installed fitted a VS Commodore air box and made a PS Res bracket of the side of the PS pump. Very secure and well done. (He was a Land Rover owner). I don't have any post LPG pictures yet but if you need some I can take a few. Hope this helps.

    Cheers, David.

I don't know why you can't see the pictures, I can see them on my page. Anyway I'll take some pictures of my current setup tomorrow.
    Cheers, David.
