very good to deal with.. shipped to perth in 4 days.. takes longer sending stuff from brizzy to perth
Okies, so timing cover is off and the 300tdi is in bits. Water pump off and radiator is out. It would appear that whoever did the clutch last did not do it right. They have the woodruf key out of whack with the timing mark in the flywheel. This could make things interesting. Further inspection is required but it would also appear that my camshaft is one tooth out of the timing mark as well (if the previous marks on the cam and back cover are anything to go by). It is this last point that could go a long to explain the flat spot in the car around 100km/h.

Okies so, I shall venture forth and take some pics... Need to get the show on the road
Need to turn all of these parts to magically being on the car
For some reason, the previous changer of the belt thought that it was a great idea to not use the already in place timing marker and make there own. Which now doesnt work... because I think that it is a tooth out.
Okies, so tensioner looks okay but the idler is not so good... caught it in time I would say
This is obviously what happens when the bearing in your water pump fails... previous owner, not me.
There she is in all of her glory!!
bit of crap in the radiator...plus what is left here.. man where did all of these leaves come from?
okay, bit of an update. Water pump and associated pulleys are back onGot the timing belt off and everything marked up and set. Just need to take a trip down to repco and get me some fittings

Glow plugs are in.... off to repco now
Ok, more of an update. Everything is in and timed correctly. There was a little issue with the fuel pump timing. But you can find out how to time one of these here

And as you can see, everything is almost back to where it should be.
Just need to loctite and torque up the crankshaft pulley
Looking good mate! When can I book you in to do mine?
Going great guns mate!! Thanks for the pics, it's great to get an idea on what's what and what to expect if/when others may want to do the same.
when ever you want matewon't take long now.. I think yours could possibly be a little bit easier then this one though.. bloody crank shaft didn't line up!!!! Dodgy people who did the clutch didn't put the flywheel back in the right spot!! BAH!!! Anyways, just by the timing belt, idler and tensioner and I have everything else to make the magic happen
