    If your mixer is a Impco 200 sometimes the lid warps on backfires. Unscrew it and dolly it flat. If you need another I might still have a spare you can have. PM me and I can check later.

    Thanks for that will pull it apart in the morning at let you know, had to drive to swan hill and back today , so not much done Sadly

    now running !

    well who would have known a little 3mm screw could cause so much grief.
    Pulled of the mixer this morning LG motor gas Model 200 unit, took the back of and the back of and the diaphram was fine, peel it back and found a lose screw one of 4 used to mount a plate in the center diaphram.

    put it back in tigntened the others and the car fired first shot


    may be worth checking if you have the same mixer

    Loctite is your friend

    i was close to welding it in for the pain and hair pulling it caused

    A timely reminder for anyone with one of these mixers. I checked one on a XG Falcon ute today and the screws were just a little loose...
