    OEM vs OEM the axle shafts are the same strength, because Land Rover necked down the disco and RRC axles to the same minor diameter as the 10-spliners - and also possibly used inferior materials.

    So a 24-spliner may have a slightly longer fatigue life, but it would likely be marginal.

    thanks isuzurover, curiosity got me with others talking about 10 & 24 spline I thought one might have been stronger than the other.

    In theory the 24 spline should be at least 30% stronger.

    If you fit aftermarket axle shafts (Hytuff, Ashcroft, Rovertracks), your axles would probably be 50% stronger than OEM (if not more).
