Do a search on swivels. And tie rods, panhard rods. Plenty of stuff written about these items.

    i have a 1993 disco 3.5v8i as well.
The same thing happened when i bought her back in 2006.....steering wobbles around +90km.

First i tried replacing the steering damper with an Old Man Emu but that didnt help the problem one bit.

Believe it or not, after i changed all 4 shocks and the problem was solved.
(shocks were due for a change anyway as it was originals).

    Regards,
    Jonno

    in order Id check

    wheel bearings for play
    swivels for play
    rod ends
    suspension bushings
    wheel balance
steering dampner (not going to be the cause but it may be rooted and require replacing)
    shock absorbers

As blitz said, it could just be a matter of an out of balance front wheel.

Try a wheel rotation: back wheels to front and front diagonally to back.

I had the same problem a while back, fixed it with new panhard rod bushes and front radius arm bushes.....

As I have mentioned in several other threads, it is rare for this problem to have a single cause, but the most critical factors are those mentioned by Dave and in roughly that order, although I would perhaps have put wheel balance right at the top, and swivels before wheel bearings.

UJs will cause vibration, and ones about to fail are a critical item - you do not want a UJ to fail at speed, but a UJ problem will give a much higher frequency vibration, which is not usually described as wobble, and is not usually described as being through the steering wheel.
