shouldnt a flooded engine only be flooded with petrol? and not petrol + oil?
Im just concern the presence of oil on the sparkies is a sign of worst things to come.

did take it for a decent drive. happy to report she's running fine.

Now just hoping she holds together this weekend in the jungle

Most engines have a film of oil on the engine intake valves, excessive petrol will wash this oil on to the plugs. You aren't getting litres of oil here you know. Stop fretting and enjoy the ride, and oh, check the oil level once a week.
