That was quick Len, don't you have anything better to do? I made up a holding tool, which held the pump ulley in place while I removed it, but it might be easier just to align everything and do things from scratch.

I will see if I can find the pump. And will let you know.

    Work around - drain tube

Oh while I've been pondering the FIP refurb, I didn't want diesel dribbling over my motor and diff, so I put some 1/4" fuel line over the outlet tube that's only an inch long, cable tied it, and ran the tube down to the lowest point on the chassis I could fit it too, and now when the FIP leaks the fuel goes onto the road, not the car.

My mileage has dropped from around 800km per 77litres to around 720 to 750km per 77 litres (or so) so Ive been wondering if I should refurb the FIP or simply find a way to scavenge the leaking fuel back into the tank.

There's not much leaking, maybe a teaspoon every couple of minutes, car has to have the engine running , not moving for say 20 minutes, to have a small fuel puddle and that doesn't happen except occasionally when being worked on.

    Any comments from the Guru's??

    Cheers all

Remind me not to ride a bike behind you, esp. on wet roads, diesel and water and rubber tyres are a bad combination, run the overflow into a catch can, BTW the hose from the Turbo to the IP is a boost hose it has boost pressure in it, Not vacuum, Regards Frank.
