My best has been a little over 9l/100klms and average is probably close to 10/100 for my daily commute. Best on a long drive was 900klms out of a tank from full to reserve light on - mine is auto.

About 10L/100kms. Never done less than 9 or more than 11.5 (with a lot of weight and 4wd'ing)

Mine is in the same line, about 9l/100km. Has been doing it for all the 16 years I've had it. With featherfoot driving you may get down to 8,5l/100km, but realistically you will get something closer to the figure above, which gives you about 11kms for one litre of fuel.

real world figures vary from 8-12 K/l.

12 is pretty much optimal highway cycle and 8 is about average for city commuting.

I get around 12L/100k on a distance trip but as high as 16L/100k when fully laden with 1200kg trailer and hilly terrain.

My car gets a consistent 14litres per 100km, thats with heavy right foot in traffic, combined with towing and offroad work, highway i sit on about 120kph so that doesn't reep the benefits with economy. However if driven gently a tdi is very economical, my car blows a fair bit of smoke so i am doing the injectors, this should tidy the fuel economy up a fair bit to what others say, as i am not happy with the economy i get, but i realise i need to change my driving style.

    Cheers

    Mine over the past 25,000km:

    Best: 9.92/100km
    Avg: 11.15/100km
    Worst: 14.51/100km

Worse than most but I know why so I'm not concerned

The owner's manual suggests we can get 6L/100km doing 90kph on the highway
