Use composites if you arent re surfacing the heads or deck.
MY08 TDV6 SE D3- permagrin ooh yeah
2004 Jayco Freedom tin tent
1998 Triumph Daytona T595
1974 VW Kombi bus
1958 Holden FC special sedan
Sorry for the hijack, whats the actual difference between using tin and composite.
Reasonable amount of time and money to do a block swap... Not to mention skinned knuckles, trips to parts place only to find you forgot something and have to go down again, accidentally damaging something important while removing donk.... Don't be a tight arse (said in a friendly, supportive tone) you don't want to do this all over again in a few weeks do you?
P.S. Just done my head gaskets recently on my V8 3.9l I did all of the above and have been rewarded with a sweet running donk that I won't have to touch again for ages!
Best of luck.
Stumpy
So if y8u get the heads shaved and the block decked its better to resemble with composite over tin then.
Okaaaay, So does anyone have a spare composite gasket they wanna sell?
I inherited a single from the previous owner.
