Smile disco 1 windows. save my hair loss from ripping it out

giday all, first post on here

got myself my first rover a while ago. (named charlotte the harlot) And I had the dry solder joint issue in the window ecu. windows worked great. but when I was we assembling the ecu into its box I had a few vb up me. this caused me to not put it in propley. I was bouncing over some crap off road and its slide out and shorted out. so not good. I have let the elecys at work have a squiz at it and its got them stuffed so is there any way to bypass that ecu completely? if not can I get manual winders for my baby?

    cheers all,

    Robbo

    1. Check the fuses. Replace blown ones and try again.
    2. If it's really the ECU, it's probably shorted tracks, but just get a new one from the wreckers, and replace. There's one in just about every disco and they made millions of them.

If it's anything like the RRC, I bypassed my ECU by joining the power in wire from the fuse to the power out wire for the drivers window on the ECU plug. But my car just had the auto down feature for the drivers door.
