Like i said I honestly thought I bought 20 60 semi but it was like one month ago and I blindly threw it in DOH! I'll keep an eye on it at least it's still fairly thick thanks for the heads up! Cheers

Penrite oils should have the zinc additive to suit flat tappet engines, check the packet. 10W-50 should be fine, that's what I put in all my customers serpentine belt V8's over the last few years.

As for oil draining, use a piece of tin bent into a vee shape to catch the oil and direct it into the drain pan. Or get one of those suction pumps and shove it down the dip stick tube.

Well I finally got outside for an hour this morning.
Checked TPS with ignition on it was reading below .20. So for the sake of it I pulled it off and slotted the holes. And brought it it back up to .35 like the book said. The meter seemed to increase pretty smoothly as i moved the throttle.
Started it up and the idle was surging around 1800. In drive at about 1000.
So I unplugged the stepper turned it off and plugged it back in. And it's calmed right down to where it's supposed to be. I think I didn't do that when I cleaned it a few weeks ago. I've had the high idle come on and off.
I've plugged the VSS in but havnt taken it for a spin. Gonna go get the bins soon that's a good enough test run.
Idles still a little rough I'm convinced it's coz it's misfiring or misfueling. I checked it with a timing gun but couldn't pinpoint it. I'll have a better look when it's not so bright. Could be time for a fuel filter change I havnt done it since owning it.

    Cheers

Took it for a test run up the drive way, went through the gears and let it kick down a few times. Let it rev up to 3500 and about 70kms on and off.
Everything seems good, no cutting out and speedo back to normal. Hopefully the adjustments worked and It wasn't just a coincidence.
As long as it dosnt cut out on the citylink there's no emergency lanes anymore. I saw a D2 one morning banking up traffic poor guy was stuck in the right lane hope it's not me one day hahaha

    Cheers

Yeah it's pretty long about 600mts and mostly straight. Full of potholes though if I owned the property it would be bitumen for sure!
Not yet I was thinking about making it sometime today just need to sacrifice a cable and dig out the soldering iron. I have an old aspire one laptop I was thinking of rigging up if I can't get it to work on my tablet.
Did you have a crack at your alignment? After reading your post I had a look at mine. It's toeing out but WAY out, I have a rumble when I hold the wheel to the left I'm thinking it's that.

    Cheers

I just had a crack at my alignment and noticed the left wheel was toeing out heaps and the right wasn't so much. I brought them both in to square and back out just slightly. Steering wheel seems more centred havnt taken it for a spin yet though.
    Cheers
