Just a thought
Is a temporary solution to by pass the pump with some hose? Would this suffice for basic town / highway driving?
I'm in Lara near Geelong and D1 has a leaking lift pump
Need to be home by tomorrow afternoon 300 km up the Hume.
Where can I get a new lift pump in Geelong or within kooee of Lara.?
Thanks for any leads.

I have a plan
Will bypass pump with a repco electric one just to get home
I'm guessing it's for a 300 tdi? If so, sometimes you can get away without a pump, the injector pump will suck it from the tank if already primed.
bypass it, fit a facet pump and run it off the fuel cut solenoide
If you need a hand I can make a run out after lunch. drop me a call.

Are you running a parts business?
nope, retired and started a hobby business being a grease monkey to fill in time.
I do a run every 3-6 months north to spend time with the boys or if customers want a run done. So far Mckay is as far as I've been directly for spanner spinning type work but I also cover off on expedition support stuff so that lead to a cape trip and theres another coming in july next year..
