Yes please!  I'm doing my daughter's in a week or so.
In the photo above, see that plastic bung to the right and below the large hole (plenum chamber drain), my daughter's car was leaking quite a bit of water around that and intot eh cabin.  I sealed it with silicone but if the guard was off, I'd use bitumen paint, e.g., Ormanoid.  I was also travelling so I didn't have bitumen paint with me. 
Also, see the little plastic socket that is poking through the panel in line with the rust stain near the door pillar, water also leaks past that into the cabin.  In her case, the socket was split - I put a pic up on the forum a while back.  Hang on..

If you are removing the mudguards, I recommend sealing the backs of these as well (plus any other bungs or plugs you find).
