Hmm
D2s seem to only have hose issues. I haven't come accross any other fault the them. Yet.
Thanks guys for this thread.
My D2 Cruise Control failed a couple of weeks ago and before reading this thread I had no ideas.
Anyway, all fixed for $1.50 for a 10" piece cut off a roll at Supercrap on Saturday.
Pity your issue wasnt so simple, best of luck with it

Well, ive read this thread from front to back and done the vac lines, brake switch, bladder on the throttle linkage, can here it clicking behind glovebox on & off.
the vacum pump was not working, so i removed it and tested it on a battery and away it went.
Used a test light on the wiring to the vacum pump and there is no power coming through even with the main C/Control switch on, fuse is fine.
Any more tips??
Thanks Luke
you wont see power at the vacum pump until certain conditions are met.
Cruise master on
Brake switch off
Signal from VSS indicating road speed higher the 45kph.

Just been to Perth and back, did over 12000km. Halfway there I finally found the fault with my cruise control. There is a relay which supplies power to the vent valve on the brake pedal assembly. The wires were broken on the switch. Has now worked ever since.
Heater hose rubbed against engine but fixed that before disaster struck. Also had a wobble at the front wheels. Found an oil leak on the drivers side and the 6 bolts that hold swivel ball onto the axle were loose and that is where the oil was coming from. Tightened up the bolts and checked diff oil. Now ok. Also ran on LPG all the way from Brisbane to Perth. Came back a different way and had to run on petrol a few times.
