    Hi,

Been meaning to this for a while.....

    96 300TDi Auto.

Only real set of wheels for us at the moment, and doing an excellent job at doing everything for us. Weekend trips away, quick squirts up local tracks, shopping runs and school carpark demolition derbys!

    2" OME lift
    Safari snorkel
    Dual Batteries
    Lightforce 170 Strikers &
255/70/R16 deullers (only mention this as I have nothing more to add)

short to mid term plans (in no particular order) are for lockers front and rear, bearmach or similar winch tray and winch, recovery points, cargo barrier, UHF and slowly tidy the inner and outer bits that are trashed. Enjoy making little custom pieces here and there, contemplating fabbing a dash pod to house a few gauges possibly.

No real long term plans for it at the moment, except to have less trouble with mine than Joker has with his. If i ever blow up the oiler might look into Isuzu conversion (with suitable auto mods) and think about 33's with flares and guard chop or something like that.

And for good measure, a photo of it clean, just for prosperity....

Can't see chains though...did you go naked or did you have studs in the tyres?
Our Land Rover does not leak oil! it just marks its territory.......

    dullbird,
all You need is a Land Rover and 15PSI in the wheels.
Chains or studs in my opinion may be necessary with solid ice, but not with snow.

    German, your Disco looks good!

Certainly looks like you have a wide range of weather and scenery to drive in.

    Love the automatic driving!

I wish I had snow within reasonable driving distance!

Snow driving is almost a topic in its self, there are so many different typed of snow ( believe it or not) the snow in the picture is quite light so is easy to push though with the front wheels climbing and packing giving quite good grip.

its it gets colder the snow gets heavier and more grainy, its like driving Morgan to Robe sand. but it will not pack and the ground under will be frozen hard so its like lose grainy sand on cement thats tricky.

we dont get these conditions or this type of snow in Aussie, here the snow is to wet.

    Nice pic but
