265/75 MTRs - the 18" sit in the garage
30mm lift under the air bags, ARB front springs and shocks
Heavy duty wiring to rear for fridge, compressor and Anderson plug for trailer
ARB compressor fixed in RH rear quarter
I run Oziexplorer on an IPAQ rx5965

    Fantastic touring car.
This looks like the exact same set up I am looking at achieving. I have the 265/75 BFG's and looking at doing the 2" lift (with spacers for air bags) next year. I have the OEM CDL which I fitted as soon as I got the vehicle. Cargo barrier.

At the moment I'm trying to work out my duel battery system. I am interested to hear where you put yours as the only place I can see with my DII Td5 7 seater ES is in the rear of the vehicle. i'd like to have the second battery under the bonnet but I can;t seem to find space for it. Where do you have yours and what AH did you fit.

I’ve come up with. this idea but don't know how practical/safe (i.e. running AUX off one 120 AH Deep Cycle/High Crank Thumper Redback would be)

Replace the car battery with a 120 AH Deep Cycle/High Crank Thumper Redback (Home of 12 Volt - Camping Caravan Motorhome 4WD and Boat Accessories) coupled with a National Luna Monitor / Low voltage isolator NL Controller Dual Suit NLBSCI - Dolium Pty Ltd and a Solenoid Isolator NL Split Charge Isolator - Dolium Pty Ltd or a Duel Mate DUALMATE Dual battery management system. so I could run the 40 ltr Engel fridge and laptop from the car battery on small trips without having to take a spare battery. The isolator will hopefully always cut off the main battery if the volts drop to a level which is preset so that I always have enough left to start the Disco. Then also set myself up with either another 120 AH Deep Cycle/High Crank in a battery box with sockets on the top (Hella, Cigarette, Engel, Anderson. LED Display) or a 105AH Thumper unit like Phil’s for longer camping trips away.

    Your thoughts?

    Stewie.

    Stevo's '95 D1

    Well, Santa's been...

and I've fitted the new slider/sill/side protection (from my darling)

but seeing I haven't introduced my Disco on here yet, I thought I might.

    It's a '95 upgrade D1, Auto, 300Tdi in Avalon Blue.
Here's how it looked on a recent trip:

    It has:

    Narva spots
TJM stepped alloy roofrack ... for
    (almost permanent) BBQ

H/R towbar, and hitch recovery point
    Dual Batteries
    Safari snorkel
    tinted glass
Front and rear 50A Anderson plugs (camper power, compressor, accessories, etc)
and on cargo barrier for the invertor
    Milford cargo barrier with
homemade "crap-rack" attached (maps, manuals, Drizabones, towels, spares) and
    Invertor for laptop etc. attached
upgraded interior lighting front- LED downlight
upgraded interior lighting rear- LED striplights x4
L & R fire ext. on seat box
    LR rubber floor mats
    27mhz AM CB
Uniden UHF and handheld for spotter
    Dashtop ext. speakers for CB's
Prodigy Brake Controller for camper trailer
    Qstarz bluetooth GPS mouse
    Dell 610 lappy running Ozi

    and a baby capsule

thats all I can think of for now.
(won't mention window licks, rear door dribble, and spare German Shepherd on, in and under the rear seats
    - got three don't need another
also not mentioning the bush pinstripes - didya see them in the slider photos - oh well)

    Same trip (thanx Allen)

    Still to come:
    F & R QT diff protection,
    QT bash plate
    Lockers
    rear spring airbags

    Stevo

    Oh hers ???
it's got: tinted glass, a towbar and a gas conversion

still gotta get a cargo barrier
and I've got another prodigy that will be fitted "soon".

Mine's a 97 V8 manual and I've owned it for nearly 4 years now. Almost all the mods I have done myself including fabricating the bullbar, sliders/steps and the fuel tanks.

    - Custom (home) made sliders/steps
    - 33L Main tank (behind R/H quarter panel)
    - 52L Aux R/H sill tank
    - Narva driving lights
    - 2" lift LRA springs
    - Bluemax long travel shocks
    - Polyair airbags in the rear
    - Extended braided brake lines
    - TJM Alloy roof rack modified to take the 3.9m tinnie
    - Home made hi lift and shovel mount for the roof rack
    - Cooper STT 245/75/16 tyres
    - Rear quarter panel trim to fit tyres
    - dual battery system
    - ARB compreesor hard wired under bonnet
    - LPG with twin under floor tanks
    - Hayman Reece towbar modified to fit LPG tanks
    - Home made rear storage system with 3 drawers and fridge slidefor the 47L Evakool
    - Canvas seat covers
    - Extended diff breathers
    - 14' Windsor Rapid off road caravan for camping trips

    In the pipeline:

    - 52L L/H stainless sill tank for water
    - Replacement rear bar with twin wheel carriers

    The wish list:

    - Electric winch for the winch bar
    - At least rear locker but both would be nice
    - Snorkel
    - More power!
