Hear, hear!!

If you get a D1 you can fit the tanks in the rear cargo area for 50 useable litres or replace the petrol tank for about 70 useable litres. The D1 can run a venturi system which is significantly cheaper than the injection systems.

If you go a D2 V8 you will have issues unless you run gas injection.

I just got a 99 series 1 V8 Discovery that I am getting fitted with LP Gas. I was told at least a 3 month wait for a gas tank, possibly more as I wanted the underfloor LP gas tank instead of having the tank in the cargo area. The bloke I am getting to install the system told me if I didn't want to wait to go and find a secondhand tank.

I bought a complete gas system out of a Disco wreck from Triumph Rover Spares in Adelaide. $1950 for the gas tank, 35L petrol tank and everything under the bonnet, plus $120 to ship it to Perth. All of this will be claimed back from the govt with the rebate.

A S2 is different (more expensive), but I didn't go second hand to get a cheaper system. I did it because I want the conversion now, not later.
