    My DIY rock sliders

Made these a few weeks ago just before the Ourimbah run. They're a simple design just to replace the factory plastic sills, yet the're pretty tough and I've jacked the car up on them as a test and they seemed fine.

Oh and they're lovingly ocated in 2 layers of bunnings black

Come to think of it, I really should have cleaned them a bit more before taking the pics. Look much better all clean

Nice work Boxer! I like them a lot!

The other good thing is that with the slider step slightly down from the door, when you land on them and they flex a bit then you can still open you door properly without having to bounce them back down again!
    Cheers

Looking good, I made a similar set myself a few moons ago (for a 90 tho). I'm yet to get them galvanised and then painted / powdercoated... How are you planing to finish yours?

Yeah, I kept that in mind, they're pretty much bend proof I think. You'd have to land pretty hard on them to make them move. I've seen a few others where they run maybe 5 bolts, but I figured running more is only going to distribute the load more.
