Yeah poor bloke. Jesus Christ everytime I had a prob he would be the first to help out!!! Wish I had someone like him self here in my parts, prob get sick of me coming to see him lol. I'm glad to I didn't get rid of it I reckon I would have regreted it big time.

I've got a the gist that you're having problems you've had with your diesel Disco from what I have read (new member here btw!). Sorry to hear there's trouble in paradise mate!

You'll have to excuse my ignorance somewhat, but I saw in another thread that there were some issues (un-named) which have been giving their fair share of grief. What's actually happening? If you can describe the symptoms and changes made and their effects, it might shed some clearer light on things to help you or to try. I used to be a mechanic and have a reasonable level of experience with diesels, but I have a few mates who are die-hard diesel fanatics who I can always ask if it's beyond my knowledge.

G'day mate,

Whats happening is some days i loose power and some/same day's i gain it again. had a engine rebuild and about a month after that went out with some of the guys and when coming home i noticed that i didnt have the power/pick up i used to. i'll turn her on and let her idle for about 5 to 10 sec's then notice the idle lifts up abit by its self and thats when she runs fine. i sometimes can hear like a buzzing noise coming from either the fuel lift pump or the injector pump. i have changed the fuel lift pump and all filters including the sediment in the rear which i cleaded out as it was not that dirty.

tried adjusting the idle and that does nothing. it just seems like she is underload when pressing the accelerator pedal. i can tell when she runs fine cause the accelerator pedal is nice and soft and not hard. so its really got me going as you can see via other posts. heres hoping yopu can come up with something.

LoL maybe next time mike when something else goes wrong. MMMmmmmm the slab sounded good but the EErrrrr MMMmmmmm fj45 AAhhhhhhhh you know toyota's....LoL

would be great if someone lived closer who had a 300tdi disco. could have a gander at how theres perform.
