How much you need to cut depends on your setup,
i run 285/75/R16 tyres on offset rims with no body lift.
i have to do it again as the tyre just rubs on the outer corner of the door on full flex and bump stop compression. this would not happen with smaller tyres or if i had a body lift
the rear panel shows where i have corrected the cut to stop the rubbing, been too busy to fix the door just yet.
you can see the gap i left between the 2 flares to maximise clearance where dullbirds are flush an much neater.

Our Land Rover does not leak oil! it just marks its territory.......
Hey guys, if anyone is organising another shipment I would be in, I have found them in Melbourne for $540.00. Was hoping to have it done by Easter but may have to wait as not too much cash flow right now.

Karl you don't wana pay anywhere near $600, from memory last time it ended up being $300 round about, from flatdog in UK. they were good, were very helpful. there should be a link a bit back in this thread. else google flatdog.
SSmith,
i assume you have cut into the open internal area of the door, how did you seal the door if at all?
Adam
I only run 245/75's but they really rubbed even with a camel cut (stoved all the back area in hence the flares) that's why i could never understand how people get these massive tyres on without body lift..
how ever I think it must be due to my spring set up etc as they do stuff up in the arches pretty well..

Hmm I thought I had already posted this but obviously had a moment!!
with the flares fitted and a two inch spring lift how big a tire can be fitted - I am prepared to do a body lift if I have to. I am looking at putting 35's on the old girl ( well the metric equivelant)
