Where did you get the AMP from?? ..... (Fleabay??)

Forget the injectors ..... look at the Coil or AMP

Fitted a new lucas coil today, seems to have more umph when turnng over and when driving, but still seems to be a rough to start, won't fire 1st go.

The amnp is a new lucas one, i would never buy second hand electronics for a motor.

It is possible to fugg spark plugs through excessive flooding .... Also they are fussy on the type of plug that you use....

NGK BPR5ES ... For petrol only
NGK BPR6ES ... For gas setups

What brand & numbers are yours??

After all this i Still have a slight miss on the highway , when giving it full throttle at around 2800 to 3300 she has a slight miss as if a plug or its starving of fuel.

I have NGK BPR5ES PLUGS fitted.

The car started 1st time untill 3 weeks ago, this staring fault happened overnight, i think the miss and this are linked, as it does not feel smooth on the highway, feels a bit lumpy under load.

Well, if your still thinking injectors because of the Crud you saw in the Fuel Filter

Then have a look at this ......

    -FUEL-INJECTORS_ GEN111

And this thread is when I installed them in my ride ....

    -gen-111-injector-results

I give up, on my way home the bloody thing had not one bit of power, just about pulled up MT Ousley coming home from work, i will put old parts back on it and get rid i think, its just not worth the hassle.

Can i use normal silicone to put the AMP back on??

Thanks to you all for your help on giving me some
advice on this never ending problem.

Im beginning to think its electrical after all the messing with it.

You might just have to bite the bullet and get a LR mechanic to have a look at it. I did at one stage and they had all the right equipment to get it sorted. You can only beat your head against the wall for so long (Believe me I know). In the end mine did not cost that much and was worth it to have the car going. See if someone can recommend a good trusted one in your area so you don't get taken for a ride. I went through a few until I found a good one.

    Air flow meter,

Do you know any other AULRO member close by to you with a Disco V8i,

The other thing you could try is to unplug it, it will run rich but you should be able to see how the engine responds.(just to test if the engine responds better)

When my MAF stuffed up, the Vehicle ran better rich with the MAF unplugged, than with the stuffed MAF plugged in, so i bought a new MAF & problem solved
