Biggin, sorry to hear the bad news.Things can happen soooo quickly, hope things work out.
This was enough for me a few years back & i can still remember it well,& we were very fortunate not to tip it over...it was brand new, scared the **** out of all that was there.
It is a totally different situation than what you were in,& luckily the ruts were only small.
Not long after i picked up a new D2 in 99,i had to reverse down a very steep, long gravel hill.It became one of the scariest things i had done for a while.
What i did, with the guide of one of my brothers who happened to be with us at the time & also had done a lot more of this type of stuff than me,was left the auto in drive.
I allowed the car to inch slowly backwards,& as it tried to turn, that is front coming around, gunned it carefully till it was pointing up the hill again.
Slowly,& carefully we got to the bottom.
It isn't something you want to do again in a hurry![]()
