    3 Amigos question

Had my First 3 amigoes last week on a trip to Bendethra , first time for me , have read all the posts and the possible faults in the good oil , my question is it happened twice on the bitumen when I went over some small dips and the car bottomed , after stopping turning the engine off and restarting all fixed , then 2 days of steep climbing and descending creek crossings etc , there was nothing , all fine , was constantly worried it would return , and really needed the TC to get up some of the climbs , what should I do next , as now lack cofidence to tackle any tracks till I
    know for sure , its a d2 2001 v8 auto 213k

    Regards

If you have the opportunity get the CDL functioning or installed, that will take your worries away, the above box does a great job, ive used it several times due to squeaky brakes which the harmonics can set off the amigo's. Having a functioning cdl and the traction control running at the same time is a great combination.

If the lights come on because of the contact problem within the ABS module does all the functions still actually work?

My 3 amigos are intermittent, sometimes they are on as soon as I turn on the car and sometimes when I use the brakes, sometimes without using the brakes at all.

I understand that the Option B fix will eliminate the contact as a fault source, Im not confident about pulling apart the ABS module.

You may have the internals and may only need the external actuator hooked up (Hopefully). You can find out looking up vin numbers.
Quick find out is get under the car and at the front( drive shaft) of the TC case bend your hand and arm up on top of the case and feel around for 3 nuts shaped in a triangle pattern with a spigot in the middle, if you find this your in luck, if not, you will have to shop around for the internals.
