have the Britpart towers. I know most things Britpart are rubbish but these are pretty simple bits of steel. I wouldn't use any part from Britpart that moves but these are fine.

I wonder if another model car would have the same style bush
It wouldn't be hard to make up a new eye to take the factory bush, it just needs to thread onto the end of the shock shaft. Of course you'd need some lathe/engineering skills, but it's a simple job.
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/140884882957 I'll drop in and measure this one
Heasman have all my parts needed and they are in the post today. Great service
Is it strange to Quote myself?
The above has measured 26.7 mm in the center section and 52mm from the inner half circle to the half circle.
Heasmans told me today the Rose joint outer is a 26mm so these rubber Bushes are 0.35mm to big each side. what do you think my chances are of pressing them in? might be able to take some meat out of the bush with a strip of 180 grit paper.
any thoughts?
Cheers
Matt
I'm stuck. I know this ring end can be removed but they use a VERY strong thread lock I have it clamped as best I can without using the steel of the vice and I think this is better grip then flat surface of the vice anyway. I still can't get it to budge. I don't want to to disturb the other end as I don't have new clips and seals only need to replace the primary seal. As you can see. This ring end should come off. Any tips on getting this off? Cheers Matt Attachment 98830Attachment 98831
How are you holding the shift? I didn't think it would be easy to hold. For sake of a couple of circlip, I'd just remove the shaft and then take the piston off.
