Cheers again. Am looking at changing my raid 90's to a remote res longer travel shock, but want a simple pin pin bolt in job so are looking at different brands that do these and was going by what people are recommending for valving with the 7100's

Would have to fab new turrets as mines eas. Was looking at other brands of remote cannisters anyway. Can get a good deal on amada xtremes.
I wish I hadn't found this thread... Does anyone own the car with these shocks? How are they going?
I was looking into removed my Terrafirma shocks and springs and replacing them with something a little nicer, I was looking into the Bilsteins that bolt straight in when I found all this info.
Is it worth the extra effort of fitting these over the straight bolt in ones? It doesn't seem too big of a deal to fit some spacers, bottom mounts and to lower the bump stops a smidge.
What was the factor which made people choose between 360 and 400 rears? Was it the load carried? And what springs did people choose to run with these shocks?
Sorry for all the questions just think it looks like a pretty sweet setup.
400 rear is very harsh. Still waiting on putting my 360s in the rear
I’m running them. After 2 years I still love them. I’m running the 400 in the rear and I find them perfect although I’ve got air suspension.
Does the extra drop require new brake lines or abs extenders?
Yep. Still love mine. I think I only went 360 but I've since changed the rebound dampening on the rear due to SLS.
Happy Days
Had them on my RRC and now on my 130. Great shock. Used extended brake lines +2" as the shocks are 12" travel SB7100
Hi guys,
I have a D1 that I'm returning to standard height and I really like the look of the Bilsteins. I'm not too familiar with the differences between the D1 and D2, but I'm assuming I can fit D2 turrets to replace the D1 pin type turrets?
Some mentioned that they were bottoming out the shocks without raising the turrets so it would be really helpful to get some more info on spring and turret heights... I'll probably fit some HD turrets and it seems like there's quite a few different types/heights out there.
Cheers,
Sam
