I'm also having trouble with RTE. They never answer emails. I just need a freight cost for the lower shock mounts.
I'm not completely convinced the extra 2 inches will tear the bottom of the bag. Topped out the 10 inches still have the bags rolled over.

    Happy Days.

Freight from RTE was like $70 crazy us freight. So I got them to send it to EShock and they just put it in the box with the shocks.

Id be more concerned with the compressed length of the 12"SB's.

I did a FAIR bit of reading, on various forums about the 7100's in the rear, and although alot of people in the states were running them, they also had to run an extended bump stop. Whilst U may get the additional droop, U are limiting up-travel, which just seems pointless.
I also looked for an option to lift the rear upper shock tower, but couldnt find anything readilly avail.

What price did you guys pay for the shocks?

According to the website it comes to $966US delivered which is about $1300 Aus.

I'm worried I will be hit with import duties as its over $1000

thhink I was around the 1200 mark mate. Freight is not taken into account when calculating import duties.

    Thanks. I didn't realise freight wasn't counted.

I will have to see if they will discount the price a bit but increase the freight charge.
From my calculations even without freight it will still be $1050 Aus

I bought mine when the dollar was muchero strongerer, they sat on the shelf in my garage for about 9 months before I got off my rear end and put them in, haha. So mine came in under $1000 AUD for the shocks, was more including postage, but it doesn't count.

these are designed for the 5100 series shock, but in addition to those Prothane Bushings, could be made to work?

I've read this whole thread from start to finish (took me hours) and I still come back to this. The 10" short body would be a perfect replacement for the front if it wasn't for the fact the bottom mount is a crossbar design requiring the adapter mount from RTE.

If you could fit the bushes rather than the rose joint on the 7100 why is it inconceivable the cross bolt from the shocks you are replacing could not be used through the new bush? I understand it is likely to be molded to the rubber of the previous shock but surely it can be removed. If it was 1/2 in diameter it possibly could be used in the rose joint.

Hey Jazzman. I have the same thought this week. I can't work out how to keep the shock in the middle of the bush. I am working on this with a fabricator and hope to have a solution using the poly bushes from eshock.

My shocks are in my disco so a challenge to measure. Can someone tell me the width and dimensions of the mounting tube?
