paid $15k for an 03 disco2 V8 190k on the clock and its great, better value than alot of things on the market, check the valuation guide on carsales.com gives a good idea...............by the way insureed for market value with GIO for $17500

Why GIO? Because they paid out flood victims in victoria when others didnt!

Good on you mate, looks like you're becoming a Land Rover tragic like many here.
What drew me in to the brand was a car that seemed to have a bit of soul and EXTRAORDINARY value for your money.
At the end of the day you might have a few niggles here and there - just pump the forum for quick and cheap fixes - but for people like me who usually have zero tollerance for 'car issues' I am surprisingly happy to sort them out (getting few and far between) and still walk away laughing at how great a car it is for the $$$!

I saw on tv (ET's show) about how awesome the new Land Cruiser is with its active suspension to stop body roll.............

Looking at a Disco 3 (dreamin') and although its a great car, how do you justify a price jump from $16000 to $60000.....
