I believe I will require head, inlet ,exhaust manifold/ gaskets, new head stretch bolts, steel dowels to replace the plastic ones and anything else that should be done while its off.
Would the head need decoke valve grind? or other reconditioning and does the timing chain or cogs normaly need replacing or adjusting while the heads off.
I would also like to know how much anyone else has paid to get this done by a workshop.
Any help here greatly apreciated.

CYLINDER HEAD LOCATING DOWELS

If a cylinder head is removed from a vehicle in the above VIN range, the plastic dowels must be replaced with new specification steel dowels.
CAUTION-Td5 derivatives prior to the above VIN ranges must not, under any circumstances, be fitted with the new steel dowels. If steel dowels are fitted to to earlier engines, cylinder head cracking may result. Bob
