I haven't but the fronts would be the tricky ones as the shock runs through the middle of the spring. Rears are a factory fitment.
Has anyone done a full airbag replacement for a D2? Was thinking about it the other day, have a TD5 with coils all round. I assume complete airbag systems will give adjustable ride height to some degree along with adjustment for load carrying and towing?
Pro's and cons?
Cheers,
Nova

I have thought about this too but you would need to redo the front end like what is on a patrol etc.
You could possibly use aftermarket dual shock towers from a D1 or RRC but only run the outbound shock. A number of places in the UK make them.
Another option is to fabricate some shock hoops to locate the shocks outbound of the coil.
Another option I looked into was a strut arrangement for the front end using air bags with a hole through the centre but I could not find anything with enough travel for a 4wd application.
You can try looking through a truck air spring catalogue to try and find something to suit.

Can't you just use the bags and fittings from a soft-dash RRc. The front shocks have moved in front of the spring from the early 90's onwards so it would just be a case ofswapping the housing over andretrofitting thetopmounts onto your D2 chassis and axle assembly.
I wouldn't be using the OEM controller though!
If you want a lift, then you use the spacers.
You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.
Is the D2 not built around the P38 chassis? Couldn't P38 components be used? I've never seen teh strut tower layout on a P38, so have no idea if they are similar to the D2....
Swapping the housings from an EAS classic to a D2 wouldnt be feasible. They are very very different.
Fabricating up some mounts for the damper is the same fashion as the EAS classics would be a better opion using the standard D2 housing
P38's have some differences at least but would likely be closer. The front radius arms are totally different to start with.
