Land Rover's official consumption figures for the TD5 were:
Auto - urban 12.7l/100km, extra-urban 9.0l/100km, combined 10.3l/100km
Manual - urban 11.5l/100km, extra-urban 8.2l/100km, combined 9.4l/100km
It really depends on how and where you drive the D2, but you shouldn't automatically assume the consumption will go up 30% due to chipping.
If you are seeing consumption at the high end of the range, it could be an indicator of a cactus MAF.
