Question Boost pressure levels for TD5

Anyone got any information regarding the boost pressure levels for modified TD5's?

I am currently running a peak pressure of 20psi, standard TD5 motor with Alive Tuning Turbo Booster Box, Alive Tuning modified MAF sensor, silicone intercooler hoses, Alive Tuning/Serck Services Motorsport Automatic Intercooler and TD5Inside ECU reflash.

I notice that Bell Auto Services advise in http://bellautoservices.co.uk/wp-con...td5booster.pdf that 18psi is an 'optimal boost' pressure.

Both TD5's in the family with smilar setup as yours, TRS chip (STD AFM) 20 PSI. Peaks at 22 then stabilises.

I have been speaking to Pete from Bell Auto Services about their VNT kit which I intend to order next month, and when asked about the boost pressure he stated the following:

The VNT is designed to peak at 22ish psi and settle around 19-20 but all cars vary slightly. the main thing and gain comes from its increased flow not the pressure it makes.
