Hey Rok Dr, thanks for the comments.
Mine left the factory rather stock, and unfortunately someone felt the need to tart it up with this fake crap and a pointless sunroof (I know, whinge whinge whinge)
I did try toothpaste and it didn't really do much.
I may just get a rubber mat, or order a better wood trim kit. Who knows
I only know because you told me
I'm not sure it's 'proper', it's still pretty tacky. It does have a few scratches but they don't snag my fingernails so I don't think they're too deep. It's pretty clean so I might give it a go.
HOW WILL I LOOK POSH THEN OFFTRACK?!
Some pics to prove it happened.
First order of business
After about an hour and a half of creative knifing I had this
And this...
And at tools down I was left with this...
Quite odd driving a car without the entire centre console
Some things I've worked out today.
- I hate dog hair. PO was a dog washer, there was rather alot of the stuff
- I hate dodgy interior fitters. Seriously, there is no way you need THAT MUCH double sided tape
- I hate the handbrake pin. Ergh.
Did I mention I don't like double sided tape?
On the plus side I found a dollar wedged in under the shifter cable so that's a plus![]()

) is a good one and may get you off the hook.

The issue with the wood trim is that it has an epoxy resin layer on the top to give it a glassy finish. Problem is that it scratches fairly easily and is tricky to remove the scratches.
