I don't mind the proper stuff if it's looked after.
    But this was neither

The original wood trim in the RRC was solid timber not walnut veneer. I actually redid my 2dr with the last versions door style by grafting the inside of a 4dr door into the centre section of the 2dr door and having the later handles etc and made the original plastic with wood insert handle in radiata pine and made door cappings from same in bullnose architrave with the back planed down, all stained in charcol and polyurethane.

Looked great in the end and was just like the last 2doors out of the factory. But all done but hand and didn't de-laminate the veneer.

Pfft, you think my Land Rover work stops for uni?! Bah!
I'd actually made a booboo by getting the panel to close to an open flame, so I sanded the burn marks out and coloured the face, very smooth now. Can still see the white but honestly, I really don't care.
