Air Filters - Britpart vs K&N

I did a search, thought this would have been covered before but couldn't find anything.

I've decided to splash out on a proper filter as the Cooper ones aren't quite letting my D2 V8 breathe well enough.
I read that the Britpart filters are made by K&N, but they look like a different design.
Anyone have opinions on whether one is better than the other or if there is a better alternative?

Stick with the coopers then, the others may breathe easier, but also let dust through.

In my previous road vehicles I ran K&N cotton air filters.

My D2a came with a Unifilter foam air filter. It seems to work as well, so in future I would certainly consider Unifilter as an alternative to K&N.

I'm really surprised nothing came up in the search as k&n has been discussed heaps

I use k&n, i wouldnt trust any thing britpart even if it is supposedly made by k&n, i and friends have found unifilters to be absolute crap that breaks/disintergrates and goes into your engine[although unifilter claim this doesnt do any damage]-one in my 110 and another in my bmw bike both fell apart/chunks dissapeared into engine. The k&n i purchased from the USA for approx $60 4 years ago, i wash it in warm soapy water and then re oil in k&n oil, works for me

I've been using Britpart filters for the last two years in either very wet or very dust conditions.

    No problems at all.

Do you want to filter air or just fill space in the airbox?

I do a lot of driving in dusty conditions so would prefer an air filter that filters air yes.
Some of those reviews were helpful... the AC Delco filters rated well, although with a different filter than that which fits a Disco 2. Not sure if I can apply the results to all of their products; has anyone else used AC Delco?
