Happy to help Mario. The community is half the enjoyment of having a Land Rover. I've found my fair share of helpful info from this site in the past.

BigO, did you get your tool from Radum,
Mine arrived in mail this arvo , I bought the 21 piece set, and boy is it heavy and the size of the carry case is huge!
For $166 delivered to my door, it is a good piece of kit, and seeing it in action proving it is up to the job makes me very happy.
Cheers,
Mario
Thanks again Micheal, a good completion to the job. Just a small note re steel and rubber bushes ie. the end of the Panhard rod, its a good idea to leave tightening of the pinch/securing bolt until the vehicle is sitting on the ground in a "normal" riding position thus securing the rubber component of the bush in a "neutral" (non tension) position. If the bolt is tightened with the suspension at full droop when the vehicle is then lowered to the ground the rubber is now under tension (twist if you like) between the inner and outer steel components of the bush. This permanently tensioned condition could shorten the life of the bush. A small thing but easily overlooked, this applies to all suspension bushes.
Keep up the good work.
Zypper.
Thanks Zypper, you are absolutely correct. I overlooked that. I'm usually working with eurethane bushes where it doesn't matter (the bush is designed to slip rather than twist). I'll loosen it and retighten it. Thanks for reminding me.

Well the Disco passed the RWC and now has Vic rego. Since then it has developed a bit of a misfire so the next episode will be replacing the ignition coils and leads. A bit of a bugger of a job I'm lead to believe.
The plenum panel is done and so is the transmission and transfer case service. I was under the pump so didn't get to film those.

Very instructive videos DiscoMick, great set-up in your garage and a good range of tools. One minor item, most of the bolts, nuts, etc. , that you have removed and replaced are meant to be tightened to specific tensions. You appear not to have done this.
I have found that Radum are a good point of supply for a range of tools.
I applaud you Mike. My mechanic was wanting to run a mile at the mention of kingpin replacement, so when I reviewed your efforts, I have to think he's being a bit precious.
Apart from the tool set for this removal, that seems to have struck a chord with several, the best I take from this series is that a two post lift is only $2-3k. Brilliant!!
Shed is in planning stage, (3-5 year planning stage) but until now I would have never considered a lift in any conceivable form, so well done you, you have made my day!
cheers
Nick
