I have not seen a list as such, and have not searched for one either, but beyond 10 years or 250k I would suggest most people would experience the following or would expect to see before they get to 500k:
- injector harness replacement
- fuel pressure regulator failure
- fuel pump failure
- fuel lines cracked/spilt/holed
- Thermo fan bearing failure
- tensioner pulley bearing failure
- clutch failure (for manuals)
- wheel hub bearing(s)
- turbo waste gate pressure regulator failure
- drive shaft uni joints
- radiator hoses, water pump and thermostat (do before they fail)
The basic principle is rubber and oil rings deteriorate, plastic gets hard and cracks, and lubed for life bearings reach end of life. And I am assuming tyres, batteries, shock absorbers etc are getting replaced as required.
But this based on my own experience for a 2002 Td5 manual as I am up to 460k and from reading what seems to common for other AULRO members. It would be neat to data mine some vendor sales data and build a mean time or distance between failure database.

if it fits what you want there is no reason not buy it, a d2a would be better then a d2 with those km on it.
the bigs things id be on the look out for is 3 amigo's front prop shaft (i droped mine out and checked as soon as i brought my car) and ask about the auto and if it is orginal expect a auto change in your near future.

To add to above list
Alternator
Ignition barrel - lock wafers
Seat bases split and seats lose support
rubber steering wheels lose rigity ...rubber annealing separates from steel
Headling doops
On the td5 clutch failure means bigger expense than you might have thought...dual mass flywheel and they dont last like traditional clutches.
Cheers
