With no EGT gauge.
Easy way to shoot down your argument. In many markets the TD5 does not have EGR. Yet it still has a MAF.
If EGR was the only purpose, you can guarantee LR would have saved the $$ and left it out.
I am also an Engineer. Mechanical who knows how the engine works and what it requires. Not an avionics tech screwing with inputs and treating the engine like a black box with internals that don't matter.

i'm still considering it a friendly polemic... that EGT gauge thing is not in vogue in Europe at all
for 1. i must admit my ignorance that i've never heard about this kind of thing... even without EGR the management was conceived to get that 0 - 5V input on that port to not have a permannent air flow fault code logged...it's not about shooting my arguments i made a comparison between two different kind of engine managements and quoted from the book, so you shoot down not my argument, you shoot down what's in the book.... are there Td4s too without EGR on the market ....cos those must miss the BP sensor thenjust joking
for 2 . i'm not treating the engine like a black box i'm "screwing" only with the management which is purely electronic
imo we must relax a bit on this....i've just shared some of my findings and everybody is free to judge himself if it's wrong or not ... as long as nobody demonstrates with valid arguments that what's in RAVE is wrong i'll stick to my ideea... but i'll stand corerected and admit i'm wrong in front of a real evidence not just opinions

Cut wire at MAF, plug into ECU pin as in 1st post..
