Apparently its the stuff you can't see that causes global warming, and a petrol V8 produces a lot more of that!
Anyway, I've owned 3 V8 powered vehicles from 3 different manufacturers, and the one thing you cannot reproduce or match is the sound and character.

I believe the subject ot this thread is performance, not global warming

You did say "there is no sticky because there is no performance from a TD5" right??? No mention to anything related to global warming ( wich btw, is making both the summer and the winter a lot more colder

P.S - The disco in the movie is not making "all that smoke"... this defender is

Maybe, I guess with a modern LPi system you may get consumption down to that point, and without sacrificing power, but my old 3.5L used to use 18L/100, which puts it in the same carbon ball park as a 10L/100 diesel.

While I do care about the environment (nothing upsets me more than someone throwing rubbish out the window up a 4WD track) this was meant to help me with performance mods for a TD5 Disco 2a for someone earning an average wage.

Yeah td5inside is a very good option. I haven't got mine done with them since I already had a remap done years ago, you'll need access to a nanocom.

The v8s are good (until you drop a liner), but so thirsty, so the range is hopeless. And then you go four wheel driving.....
