I just found the receipt for the foam I purchased from Trivett Land Rover. I paid $13.66.

    Clark Rubber is the go.

I got some for $5.98 from my local Clark Rubber store back in April. They cut me a strip off a sheet of 19mm thick air filter foam. Looks exactly the same and work well.

I heard some one else went to clark rubber, but it may depend on store and staff.
Some are reluctant to cut a slither off a sheet of foam and were informed you had to by a metre.

Same as I went to repco to by some heater hose , I wanted 1.5 mtres, they wouldn't do it, they said they only sell it by the metre, and said I would have to buy 2 metres excuse was they didn't want to end up with off cuts.

Just wondering if anyone has replaced the foam that covers the interior air intake under the windscreen under bonnet. Mine has started to perish. There is a replacement item on E bay for $29 (plus postage from UK). I wonder if I could get similar locally? Clarke rubber?

I convinced a green staff member from Clarke Rubber to cut a slither off a sheet instead of buying by the meter(it was me who did it Mario!). I think I got charged 50 cents or something like that.
In the end, it is just a piece of A/C filter medium. No use in paying LR genuine parts or anyone for that matter, exorbitant amounts of money for a piddling little piece of filter foam.

    Cheers,

    Jason

I went to Clark Rubber for the AC foam I used on my P38A. It's sold by the sq cm so the bloke was quite happy to sell me a strip.

Just what does this filter filter?
Mine has been missing since I bought this car three plus years ago. Should I be worried?
