    Wouldn't worry too much , its just to filter the air /pollen that enters the cabin, worth having though

    Thanks Craig, I asked at my local after market servicer of my Rover today and he thought it was just to keep the leaves out of that area.
    I worry about some of his answers sometimes!

    ...... it's more a screen! a pollen filter it definitely ain't. It's quite crude and just keeps bugs and leaves out of the plenum which if you've ever had a gum leaf sucked thru and caught up in the fan - "flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick flick".......) you'd never want to be without that foam strip ever again!!
