Sorta know how you feel, can be a bit dishearting to do lots and still find you need more. I replaced my H/balancer, drove home and the power steer pump squarked and died!! Makes you wonder, then I fix it and drive and Im hooked again!

I have fitted my new parts and it's still not quite right. The next part to check off is a $500 fuel pump.
So I was pretty bummed when the new parts didn't fix the problem. I'm about to go and spend the next 4 months in West Wyalong working 72 hours a week.
I'm taking the disco to prove to myself that it can still take it. Plus I can't sleep in a dual cab Ute

I've just spent a small fortune (to me anyway) getting my 1974 109 up to scratch and I reckon I still have another small fortune to spend before I feel confident (do you ever with a 40 year old vehicle?) driving it somewhere without feeling that its going to cark it. I briefly fell out of love with it but I reckon its like smoking - to begin with it makes you feel a bit sick but persist with it and it'll be ok in the end (sort of). I would add - its not my daily driver. Hopefully, for you - the break away from it will re-kindle the flame.
    cheers,

You mean like 2 or 3 of Australia's best independent land rover specialists who ALL advised I replace these parts first, as they were a) not reading within spec b) the more common causes of my issues and c) the cheaper parts to replace?
I have some idea of what I'm doing....

Well **** Dave, I'll stop trying to give things a go myself because hey, I might actually learn something.
That's the reason I bought a land rover hey, to pay mechanics to fix things that I clearly have no ****ing clue about.
