My cousin had the exact same problem you had in his D2. His snorkel was also not sealed up well and took in water into the air box. Don't stress to much yet you might still be alright. I managed to get his going after it took on some water. Well alot of water 😯
Take the glow plugs out and the number 5 injector I think it was and turn the ignition over to pump any water which it may have swallowed. Check your oil first to make sure no water is in there. Clean all sensors and take off the bottom intercooler hoses to drain any water out.
Once you have done all checks put it back together and cross your fingers 😆 Good luck with it. Hope all goes well for you.
Cheers
Chris

					 Drowned my new D2!!
 Drowned my new D2!!
So took my d2 through a deeper section of the cox's river yesterday, (on a mission to find my number plate which I lost while camping with my daughter 2 days earlier) and the disco went through perfectly! water was over the bonnet but didnt struggle one bit. So decided to go back through and get some footage,(driving with a mate in the car but no others around) but stupidly heading upstream, I completely didnt think about that at all, I was having to much fun and then nothing.... just came up the other side of the deepest point and the car cut out, sitting in there starting to stress I tried to start it again (I have a snorkel BTW) and nothing, so next thing was to jump out and winch. By this point the water was up around my knees, I finally got the car hooked up and towed further upstream where it was shallower. by the time I got there the battery was flat (and the exhaust still under water. some locals 2 hrs later some locals tried to help by using jumper cables but no luck, car wanted to turn over but couln't get past a few coughs. So all I could do is leave it down there, We got a lift back to lithgow and got the train home. today I found some great towies (Welch's) and they towed her out for me and back to blackheath. From what the towy reconed was that the car got to flooded for it not to be a right off, he also said the electrics are gonna cause us worlds of pain for a long time. I dont think anyone would have any idea how devostaed I am, this is my 3 landrover d2 in 3 yrs finally a real good one with great service history and bang, one mistake and all gone. I found out that the snorkel wasn't water tight and the air filter was full of water, so there could be some bigger engine problems to.
