Discovered an air hose off, the little one that runs out of the turbo-intercooler pipe up to the switch that operates the waste gate airline. This is no doubt why it is doing the overboost cut rather than the waste gate opening. Someone had put it back on with a cable tie rather than a hose clip
Also found some fresh blood (engine oil) down the LHS of the motor. Looks to be turbo return oil line. Both those bolts were lose where it attaches to the turbo housing, nipped them up for now however I read there is a gasket that commonly fails. I will have the exhaust dump pipe off this week to that will make room to sort that and make sure that is the source of the leak.
More progress on the Madman EMS install, oil pressure switch extended up and extra sender added
Coolant temp spacer block with sender installed.
Now to run all the wiring in and get the Mud Pod installed for the head unit.
Replaced this muffler...

With this straight through pipe...

Fairly straight forward. Worth using some WD40 to on the nuts and the studs to make removal easier.
Confirming other posts, it gives a nice throaty rumble. Waiting to see how it sounds when towing a heavy load. I have a video showing the sound difference if anyone is thinking of doing it.
Had the brake switch fail on me, thankfully Rovacraft had them cheap and in stock. Will pick it up afterwork..
Wonder how long my lights have been out

SubscriberHmm, I have fitted a Flowmaster lightly baffled muffler to mine and it has almost no drone except at around 2000RPM under heavy load.Confirming other posts, it gives a nice throaty rumble. Waiting to see how it sounds when towing a heavy load. I have a video showing the sound difference if anyone is thinking of doing it.
SWMBO has not noticed enough to complain but I can hear it, but I think you may get quite a bit of drone at say 2000-2200.The drone zone.
Regards Philip A
Keep us posted. I'm interested in doing the same. Interested in power difference also.
