i thought this was wrong as my ute doesnt get above 92.

turns out, if i turn the ute a/c off, it will get up to 99 degrees.

so the results i got from the disco are correct and i dont need to worry.

Gary got a name and some TLC

Our Disco has been dubbed 'Gary'.

Today he got two new keys cut to replace the slightly bent and rubber-less one that came with him.

Made a 3d approximation of what the rear cargo space will be with the back seats out in SketchUp to start planning what is going to fit where and how.

    Land Rover Interior Void.jpg

He got the painful tech screws that were holding the non-protectional and semi-functional aluminium side steps a previous owner had inflicted on him extracted and said steps removed. Debating on wether to convert them into attachments for rock sliders or not.
    Battery terminal screw got replaced.
Red plug got an oil check, only a drop or two since the big clean last week.

Wondered what the plug under the right hand side behind the wheel arch is supposed to connect to.

    What is this for?

Contemplating how much to do myself and how much to get the mechanic to do when he goes in for his first visit to the specialist next week.

Is there any particular underbody coating anyone can recommend for Gary's war wounds where the tech screws hurt him?

I just got back from a week at Carrarang Station in the Sharks Bay area.
The road in wasn't too bad just the usual crappy bits on the last 30K's and the tracks up the peninsula were pretty good as well.
I clocked up 150k's on the tracks with NO dramas whatsoever the d2 ran faultlessly as usual
Now to unload all the gear and get the salty limestone dust/mud off the truck
