That's what we did for 7.75 years and 70,000 kms while living in Arnhem Land.

Only time it stood us up and it needed a tow truck was 85 kms from home when a drive belt pulley (the one where the ACE pump wasn't) gave way when we were heading off on a weekend's camping.

Another 15 kms later and we would have got a free trip home

Nearly 8yrs and only 70000? In Arnhem Land? Blimmin heck, last time I was up there you would just about run up an oil change doing the weeks shop! But yes I do the same, it sits for a week or 2, hit the key and its away
Its sat in the shed today and watched the defender drive in and out on farm duty

    What happened to my D2a

    Hello
Simple stuff, changed the top and bottom ball joints. No not really.

Fixed the wobbly steering wheel rubber with the low viscosity rubberised super glue stuff. And put on a leather steering wheel cover.
and added 200ml of oil to the gearbox, It needed 500ml so watch this space for an update next weekend.

    Cheers all

    Julian
