    I finally fitted the Provent.

After buying the Provent a few months ago, I finally got around to fitting it. I'm not happy with the hoses, I'll chop up th old hose to get a better curve/fit

Drove the D2 to Margaret River and return to Perth at 90 kmph on the flatish coastal highway, using a fair bit of cruise control - no not on the few grades around. 10L/100 km (28mpg) for the first time.

At 100/110, fuel use is usually about 12L/100 km (24 mpg), and then anything between 14 - 18L/100km when pulling the 3.5 T brick.

I needed a new top for my airbox after my Bro in law busted the old one when he was "Helping" me to fit my snorkel and the Clips for it arrived today.
If you are ordering a new airbox cover make sure you get the new clips as well as they are Not included with the new top.

Just refitted my viscous fan bearing. What a **** of a job. Anyone who says it's easy clearly doesn't have a car that's run over a chinaman walking his black cat. Pro tip: reverse the fan flange and the boss is the exact size of the inner race on the bearing. Socket over the top and you can bash it into place! Now just to put the rest of it back together before leaving en route to Melrose tomorrow!

You'll relax as soon as you hit the road, just remember to breath and slow a little as you keep assembling stuff, as much as you want to speed up and get it done.
