Thread: What happened to your Discovery 2 today?

I've ordered an auxiliary battery 85AH, it will sit on the air compressor shelf, The SC80 is on the way. And I've picked up a window regulator, still in its door, to fix the stuck drivers side door.
Oil and coolant checked both ok.

Quick wash and polish. Could really do with clay bar and a machine polish but not bad for a 16 year old truck that had done a lot of beach and offroading. She gets the snorkel, black mags and duratracs on this week. Cheers

Drove to Melbourne and back yesterday - around 350km. On the way back a slight vibration at around 80kph under acceleration in a very narrow speed band. Today went down the shops and heard a few chirps from around the front end. Since I'm basically a pessimist I had a feel of the front prop shaft uni's but no there's no play that I can feel. Went down the shops again and it's a lot more "chirpy". When I think back a bit - last week what sounded a bit like a staccato slipping belt was evident for a few km's along the freeway so I'm about 100% convinced the front prop shaft is about to explode in a blizzard of shrapnel 'n stuff.
It's done well. This is the original at 375kkm's.
