I run 265/75/16 And for my size tyre to fit on the door you need to remove the carrier flip it drill 2 holes job done[wink11]Quote:

Don't flip and drill - you'll end up with cracked studs... extra hinge wear and worse rear vision.
Drill 6 holes and raise the carrier.

No, your not the exception, I would have done at least 10 of them like that , none of them spend all their time on the bitumen and no cracks ( not sure how you crack a stud ) no extra hinge wear over the years on the 6 or so that I still see
