What happened to your Discovery 2 today?

Went out to car this morning to find coolant leaking from fuel cooler-both ends. Sure it will be a 30 minute job to replace the seals....plus 2hrs scratching my head! Might do oil and filters whilst I'm there. Enjoying the novice mechanic skills you gain owning a D2.

Don't know. As I said, when I saw the car the bar was gone. There was damage to the chassis (and bonnet and grille, can't figure that out ). but everything had been removed.

My D2a has an ARB bar with fog lights, but I am stuffed if I can get a headlight unit out without removing bar to crush can bolts and sliding bar forward an inch or so.
If I remember correctly, bar was ordered for D2a, but.... Just remembered, fitting instruction sheet still in box somewhere - yes P/No 343 2120 suit Land Rover Discovery 2003 onward.
It is just possible to move light unit enough to change globes, but can't remove light unit with out shifting bar

I have the ARB D2a bar fitted to my 2003. I can remove one headlight completely, but not the other one. If I remember correctly the left one comes out but not the right one. The bar sits square with the front of the car so have no idea why. The one that can't be removed completely can be moved far enough forward to give me access to the globes without having to move the bar.

Bugger. The TJM bar allows the head lights on the D2 to come out easily. Cheers

On my 04 2A I can get both headlight assemblies out but it is tight. The lens (front) has to be at the top and they did come out. There must be slight differences in tolerances.

You can loosen the headlight enough to replace the globes. I've done it with my short fat fimgers

That's putting it mildly.
I used a bit of strong language doing it, it's a fiddly arse job just getting in under the inlet manifold and there are worse things to do on a TD5
