Before I had a Land Rover I did not have any torque wrenches. Now I have three.

    Over zealous or not.

Better to advise of possible traps for the unwary than provide a solution to an avoidable incident.

    One thing lead to another...

So today I decided the engine bay could do with a good degrease.
That lead to the awkward removal of the trim panels underneath the engine bay. Don't think they have been out since new. Managed to destroy a couple of plastic rivets.
Then I saw that there is a very very slow leak from PAS fluid hose union. Level hasn't moved from the fill line though.
Then I noticed that the PAS metal line has been rubbing against the metal manifold between Turbo and intercooler.
Removed said manifold - neither component rubbed through. Nice save.
Then noted the amount of oil inside the manifold and silicone hoses and decided that tomorrow's planned ProVent install will also include intercooler clean out.
Figured out a spot to fit the ProVent and started making up a mounting bracket.
Looked at the removal process for intercooler in workshop manual and decided it was time for a break.
A thoroughly productive and unproductive day.

Advice on intercooler clean out? I was just going to wash the inside with some dilute degreaser and a vigorous shake, rinse, repeat until clear, then blast it out with the air compressor to make sure it is all dry. Same deal with hoses up to intake manifold.

I have heard of using diesel to clean it out.
